Father Dr. Anand Muttungal,(Bishop of the Apostolic Catholic Church in India) Born June 16, 1972 was a Catholic Priest incardinated into the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bhopal, (www.franand.com) on 01st May 2001. He is known for his contribution to build peace in the community and promoting grass root leadership to establish peace against any sectarian violence. He was born in Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. His parents are Mr. Thomas Muttungal (Late) and Mrs. Monica Thomas (Late). Soon after his completion of higher secondary studies he joined the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh Central India. After his ordination in 2001, he worked in different fields. He did his bachelors degree in Philosophy, Psychology and Theology. He persuaded higher studies in Psychology , M A , M. Phil and Ph. D in Psychology.
His appointment as Public Relation Officer and Spokesperson and Director to the Commission for Ecumenism and Inter-religious Dialogue provided him a wider canvas to initiate many activities in the state for the less privileged people. In 2005 I founded "VISHWA KALYAN ASHRAM",
(Monastery for Universal Welfare,) a Catholic Lay Association to coordinate various activities. It was approved by the Catholic Bishops Council in 2007 and registered with the Government of India in 2010. He started Rashtriya Isai Maha Sangh(National Confederation of Christians) in 2008 which is spread around 17 states in Country with many Christian leaders into the socio-political fields. |

Under the banner of Rashtriya Isai Mahasangh initiated dialogue with Government and the Christian community. It brought result when the political parties and religio-social organizations became close to the Church. The cause of the Church began to be addressed by many groups and individuals. |
